St. Mary’s is one of, if not the, foremost rugby club in the country. Having made an outstanding contribution to Irish rugby over the last one hundred and eleven years, this great club is renowned both nationally and internationally for it’s rich & passionate rugby heritage. Both on and off the pitch, the unparalleled enthusiasm and energy from every corner of this close rugby ‘family’ is outstanding.
St. Mary’s approached Motif to develop the promotional activities of the club, with specific reference to the annual yearbook.
As a comprehensive overview of the past twelve months, with a look forward to the coming season, the yearbook is a much loved keepsake of the club community. On a primary level, the publication encompasses every aspect of the club; six men’s teams, the women’s team, the youth and children’s development teams, historical aspects, the relationships with Leinster and the national squad, the Captains dinner, etc. In addition to this, the yearbook is a vital tool to promote & generate revenue via advertisements in the publication.
After meeting with the committee and subsequent analysis, it became apparent that a complete redesign and strategic overhaul of the yearbook was required to communicate the enthusiasm, energy & passion of St. Marys.
Focusing on impactful & distinctive imagery, set in both monotone and full colour, the publication communicates an energetic and tactile tone. Throughout the publication the photography is complimented with vibrant cyan colourwork and stylized typography to further this spirited approach whilst retaining the heritage and pride of this great club.& some more spreads for your viewing pleasure…
