Tormey Hogan Architects is an RIAI registered practice established in 2006 by Niamh Hogan and Rossa Tormey. Their work encompasses a variety of areas such as residential, conservation, restoration and environmental projects, plus arts projects, commercial fit outs, retail and community work. Given the breadth of the client’s output we sought to create an identity which communicates a creative, progressive and professional practice.

The stacked sans serif typeface adds a professional tone with bold weight reflecting security and responsibility. Treatment of the type at a 15% angle creates a dynamic visual presence which captures a sense of personality and creativity. The sliced ‘Y’ and ‘A’ act to secure the identity, referencing foundations. Vibrant green and a 50% black work to amplify the unique, modern feel of the identity.

Sustainability and environmental responsibility is central to Tormey Hogan’s approach – recycled stocks and vegetable inks were used throughout, and we sourced envelopes crafted from recycled ordinance survey maps.

The THA identity is distinctive, it adopts a different tone to competitors and illustrates a company with ambition, personality and individuality.
